Fork removal
So after getting some great quotes on powder coating I think I’m going to go for a silver/grey.
So now I’m left with the challenge of removing the handlebars. Usually a simple task with newer bikes, but not so much with 30 year old bikes. The aluminum stem has welded it’s self to the fork. After seeking a ton of advice it’s either saw off the stem, and install a new one, or spray that ish with PB Blaster and tap on it for a week with a mallet.
Going the PB Blaster route first. Cross your fingers for me.
